Chuck's Shredded Potato Hash Browns

  • 1 lb russet potatoes, shredded
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  1. Coat the bottom of a skillet with a thin layer of oil and heat over medium high heat.
  2. Once the oil begins to shimmer, add the potatoes to the pan and spread them in an even layer. Let them cook for 1 minute before using a spatula to mix them.
  3. Once well mixed spread them back out in an even layer and let them cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, the underside should get nice and browned.
  4. Use the spatula to get under them and flip the potatoes in sections until they are completely flipped. Let them cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, until the underside is crisped and browned. Remove from pan and serve immediately.
