It’s been a while since we did one of these. I think it’s the perfect way to kick off a good summer weekend. Don’t you?

If you’re interested in seeing more interesting articles like this check me out on twitter, where you’ll see the depth of my true obsessions.

I’ve always loved the way Shaye writes, but this post man did it hit home. This is one of the reasons Chrystina & I started the Gatherings Podcast. We want to get back to that open door policy she’s talking about.

On a similar note, one of my other favorite bloggers, Mavis posted recently about the true cost of convenience food (link to full article here). All those prepackaged meals add 52% more calories, cost double the amount of whole foods and saves the cook an average of only 10 mins per meal. Is it worth it? I think not.

Want Juicier Tomatoes? Store them Upside Down. – Who knew?

I really loved this article about Why We Can’t Talk About Race in Food. So I’m making an effort to talk about it more.

You Don’t Need Blue Apron to Teach You How to Turn On Your Oven – True, but you can check out my Cooking Lessons series, if you want some helpful hints.

Yet another favorite blogger talking about an amazing program from Shemesh Farms.

What if One Farm Raised Everything You Ate – Love this idea, and there’s one so close to me!

15 Farmers Market Recipes – because who doesn’t love a good round up?

This Philadelphia Entrepreneur is Helping Fix a Broken Food System and its awesome.

The struggles of taking over the family farm as told from Butterworks Farm – What I wouldn’t give to have a farm to take over, even if it was struggling.

Now for some fun stuff I’ve been pinning lately. Also, check out my group board Food Love. Just click on the picture to jump to the page.
