Ah February. It’s my favorite month, and not just because it’s my birthday month. To me, February is like a breath of fresh air. I’ll get into it more in my Newsletter on Monday as to why I feel that way.

Hey, do you read my newsletter? You should. Sign up is right over there -> on the sidebar. If you sign up now you will get a free ebook with the top recipes from 2016. I’m working on the 2017 ebook now, so if you sign up now you will get both! However, once the new one is out the previous year’s book gets retired.

Someday I’ll find time to get the old books up somewhere for download all the time. But finding the time to figure that out can be a bit tricky these days. Don’t we all wish we had some more time?

Anywhoodles, let’s get on with the life updates, shall we?

The Baby:

Little boy is looking less and less like a baby all the time. I know he still is a baby, but the expressions he makes, how long and lanky he’s getting, man it’s just killing me.

House Projects:

You guys! I have walls in my kitchen hallway again. Not just studs and insulation. There’s also a new door so that’s cool. All it needs is a bit more mudding and sanding and it will be ready to paint. I’ve got a luscious green color in mind. I’m so excited I can’t even tell you!

The Gardens:

Garden planning is all that’s happening right now. What else is there to do in February when you don’t have a greenhouse?

The Chickens:

There is a lot less to report on the chicken front this time around. Everyone seems to be happy(ish) and healthy. I think they are getting a bit sick of the cold weather and are ready for some sun. Who could blame them? Also, the coop could use a solid cleaning, like desperately. It will happen as soon as weather/time allows.

The Podcast:

This episode I’m so excited for. It’s all about the duo at Field Notes. We talk food, so much food, dining outside, creating an experience not just a dinner and planning with the seasons. I loved recording it and got all inspired again during editing.

Listen to it on iTunes, or on gatheringspodcast.com.

Looking Forward:

I have high hopes for seeing more people and getting things done. Also, I’m turning 30. Here’s to February.

Stats:

Do you even care about this anymore? I’m sorry if you don’t, I do, so I’m sticking with it.

Spent on Groceries in November:

$457.36 – I got a little crazy this month. I purchased a bunch of grains and cuts of meat I don’t usually work with. I’m stoked to start cooking some different things. Also, now my house is overstocked with food for a while.

The cost of Garden Supplies 2017:

$40 – got my seed order in!

I must say, as a lot as I enjoyed reading what you had to say, I couldnt help but lose interest after a while. Its as if you had a wonderful grasp on the subject matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Perhaps you should think about this from far more than one angle. Or maybe you shouldnt generalise so considerably. Its better if you think about what others may have to say instead of just going for a gut reaction to the subject. Think about adjusting your own believed process and giving others who may read this the benefit of the doubt.Jobs offered
