As anyone who follows my twitter will notice I’ve kind of been on the diet/health food bandwagon lately. That’s because everyone else seems to be since the release of the USDA Dietary guidelines.

I personally cannot ascertain a method of healthy eating from these guidelines, and I’m into this stuff. Some of the pro’s are even having a tough time diciphering it all so where does that leave the American Public?

I like this idea from Micheal Pollin. (Via SummerTomato)

Better yet Brazil’s take on using photos, suggestions, and while foods, instead of breaking it down to nutrients (cough liketheusda cough).

Moving on to more important things we could also talk about what the studies say about Wine and Breast Cancer. I say YOLO, just don’t overdo it.

Panera's Soba Noodle Broth Bowl Recipe

I don’t know if you’ve noticed but Panera has discontinued the Soba Noodle Broth Bowls after only a year of having them on the menu. I loved these so much I made my own version. Needless to say I am not on board with this decision.

Recipes I Pinned Recently:

Veggie Spring Rolls

Fish Tacos with Cabbage Slaw

Spicy Thai Peanut Noodles

Drunken Cherry Chocolate Cake

Also I started a new Pinterest Board all about Food. Check it out and let me know if you interested in joining!!

Once in a while I’m overwhelmed by all the cool stuff on the internet and I just have to share it and what better way than a nice round up post?

First off the US updated its dietary guidelines and finally admitted that sugar is bad for you, while simultaneously removing the limit on eggs that should be eaten daily. FINALLY

The Myth of Easy Cooking

Only 8% of Americans keep their resolutions to loose weight? Wow. Eye Opening.

Chuck and I are experimenting with this diet so here it is again for your reading pleasure.

Speaking of diets, check out what Tom Brady & Gisele’s diet looks like.

I’m excited to show this blog series turns out. I spend less than $100 a month on groceries as well, and no one ever believes it. Now I’ll be able to them here.

And because we all need to learn to laugh at ourselves a little. Also even the Pro bloggers have off days.

I love this guy, I even got one of his books for Christmas, and this post makes me love him even more.

This post is a compilation of cool stuff that I found around the net recently. It should help you get to happy hour today. Happy Friday!

I don’t have children yet, but this is something I see everyday and I’m already stressing out about it becoming my future.

And because that’s not enough of a downer. I fear so much for the US economy and this is one of the huge reasons why.

Let’s turn this around and talk about how wine makes you skinnier, happier & wiser.

I just watched Martian, and Intersteller and now I read that NASA is accepting applications for the next mission. Oh man these movies are coming true!

Amazon opened their first brick and mortar store. I’m upset that it’s on the other side of the country because I’d love to check it out.

Somehow I just discovered Tim Ferris’ Podcast and now am totally obsessed.

Also these guys are amazing!! Love the outfits too.

Here is a bunch of awesome links to stuff I found interesting on the web recently for your Friday viewing pleasure. This week I believe there is a clear theme. I may or may not have fallen down a rabbit hole here, but there are enough videos in these links to keep you busy for hours!!!

Meat & Cancer: What you need to know

I Like this guys reaction to it all.

And this series is my new obsession. Especially this episode.

And since we are on the subject….. I stumbled on this video and man not only are these two guys really awesome but why aren’t all farms using methane digesters? This could seriously affect the methane problems that this country has.

All these articles and reports have gotten me extra jazzed to start really taking a look at what we eat. Thankfully we are surrounded by farmland and have access to just about anything our little hearts could desire, and most of it within walking distance! Talk about locally grown!

Here are a few interesting things that I stumbled on across the net.

The idea that Americans don’t eat enough vegetables isn’t entirely a shocker to me, but I found these statistics pretty interesting anyway.

Since we are talking about vegetables this article has some amazing vegetable storage tips that I never knew about.

So now they think there might be water on mars.

I’m just floored by this data.

I had no idea civilians were joining the fight against ISIS. You guys have my prayers.

10 engaging books read by their authors.

As a 20-something lady I find this post really interesting.
