This is a super easy recipe that I have been making for years. I love it because it is so easy, quick and healthy, plus it goes great with just about any white fish. I am posting it today because I have had a number of people say that they can’t cook fish, or are afraid to cook fish.

I’m not sure why so many people are afraid of it, it’s really very easy. It’s not something you should be scared of. Spiders you can go ahead and be scared of, but not fish. I am hoping that his recipe can show you that and maybe even give you the confidence to try it out yourself. I mean there are less than 5 ingredients! That’s right Less. Than. Five. You can totally handle 4 ingredients. This I promise you.
First, let’s talk about the lemon pepper seasoning. Now, I’m not one to typically go for store bought seasonings, but this is my exception because it’s so basic and I haven’t perfected drying the organic lemon peel, not that it is on the top of my priority list either. I prefer the Simply Organic Lemon Pepper that I can pick up at my local grocery store.

This recipe can be applied to a number of different fish, my favorite are tilapia, trout, haddock and salmon, but you could also do this with cat fish, cod, swai, halibut, or bass. I’m sure I’m missing a few others but these are the most common to my knowledge.
The cook time is 10 to 15 minutes, so there’s not a lot of time for things to go wrong. If this makes you nervous start with 10 minutes and remove the fish from the oven. If the flat side of your fork doesn’t slide into the fish easily and pull away then put it back in the oven for another 5 minutes and try it again.

By the way that flat side of the fork trick is called flaking, you will find if a fish flakes easily it is probably done cooking. It’s a term used in most fish recipes. Now you really have the confidence to cook fish!
There! See! It’s easy!
Now you go try it!
