In this house we love venison. This meat while not so mainstream is incredibly delicious and lean, which makes it a great choice for the health conscious carnivore. Right now we are cooking venison at least once a week, and in keeping this space a reflection of myself I think that it is important to share some of my favorite venison recipes with you.
I don’t know what took me so long to post this recipe. It’s probably my favorite venison recipe. Well, other than a standard pan-seared venison loin. However, I also really love Cumberland sauce. Okay, I can’t decide, just know that it’s up there in the top three for sure.
This recipe has become a true summer favourite in our house. It’s easy to toss together, full of veggies, doesn’t heat up the house, and cleanup is a breeze! We have cooked it up and served it with wraps, as shown, on salad, or over rice. [Read more…]
The days are feeling short right now.
This is the time of year when we are all trying to get the garden “stuff” in so it can do its thing, catching up with people, and for us getting ready for another person to join the party while trying to get these house projects under wraps. It’s a lot, and we are chugging right along with it all, but man is it a lot.
This weekend it was all about tile. Chuck spent the whole time in a half crunched position laying the tile backsplash between the cabinets and the counter tops. Needless to say, his back was not a fan come Sunday night, but man is the kitchen looking good.
