Thai Salmon Burgers with Canned Salmon

I might just be begging for a lashing putting together a recipe for canned salmon. I mean why would I do such a thing when beautiful fresh salmon is available in a grocery store? Well, I’ll tell you. I did it because not everyone has the cash money for fresh salmon, because there’s more to a fish than those perfectly shaped pink fillets and because some people actually can their fresh salmon to get through the winter (I’m a little obsessed with my girl Eve at the moment).

Quintessential Corned Beef Hash

Traditionally in the states we all don green, drink green beer, and eat boiled corned beef with cabbage to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. While I love the holiday for all the fun I’ve had over the years these days I get more excited for the leftovers. I mean a good Rueben, Irish vegetable soup (made with leftover boiled carrots and potatoes) and of course corned beef hash are in fact some of my favorites.

Weeknight Bolognese Sauce

By Jessica

Bolognese sauce is one of my absolute favorite dishes. When made the authentic Italian way it involves a slow simmering pot on the stove all afternoon, filling the house with its glorious smells of tomatoes, herbs and spices. I like to serve it over pasta with fresh made bread (because who doesn’t love fresh bread to sop up that sauce with?) and a salad. However, like most working ladies, I don’t always have time to have a pot of something simmering on the stove all afternoon, so to the chagrin of many an Italian grandmother I made up this weeknight version.

Roasted Veggies with Mint Yogurt & Honey

The weather is playing trick on us over here in the northeast. On Saturday it was sunny and 70, Chuck and I were strolling downtown, coat-less in February. Then on Sunday it was snowy, windy and cold, surprisingly this was still pretty nice for February, which is typically one of (if not THE) the coldest months of the year….

Recently, quite a few people have requested a copycat recipe for Panera’s Southwest Chicken Tortilla Bowl. Considering that the copycat that I did for their soba noodle broth bowl has consistently been one of my top posts, how could I not oblige? Dear readers, I have heard you.
