Every year I typically round up SL&G’s top recipes, this year however I decided to go a in a slightly different direction. I figured since I give out a free ebook of the top recipes every year (Coming soon!!!) why round them up also? This year I started to incorporate more than just recipes in my posts and I’d really love to highlight some of the other craft, life, how to posts that hit it big here on the blog. So this time I’m rounding up all of SL&G’s top posts from 2015.

My Favorite Recipes

A little list of almost 30 of the recipes that we love and cook at home often.

For those of you who don’t know (because 2 years of lead up time can be missed by some) I am on my honeymoon right now after having what I’m sure was an amazing wedding (yep I’m writing this to you in advance). Because of said wedding and honeymoon I clearly don’t have time to post a recipe this week so instead I thought it would be a good idea to high light my absolute favorite recipes on SL&G. After 4.5ish years of blogging I have a lot of favorites, but these are the very best, the ones that I keep coming back to, the ones that Chuck requests the most and the ones that we really do eat all the time.

30 min. meals Final

Back to school season is well underway around here. I know this because every store I go into has a multitude of signs hanging everywhere trying to get me to buy just one more pencil or note book. Eee gatz I hate shopping this time of year. I avoid it at all costs, but unfortunately for many of you it is unavoidable, and for that I am sorry.

While I may not be in school anymore I can still appreciate the craziness that ensues this time of year for many people. I thought you might enjoy a nice list of some of my favorite weeknight meals to help you get through the strain. All the recipes listed here are ready in 30 minutes or less. They are all hearty and filling, which are guaranteed crowd pleasers as well as mostly healthy which should make all the mom’s happy right?

My Favorite Podcasts Right Now

Podcasts seems to be my thing lately, I listen in the car, during data entry at work (because seriously how else could I actually get it done?), while cooking etc. Our house has always been filled with music, so this has been a bid weird for guitar loving Chuck, but for me it has really helped to focus on getting things done. Weird right?

Anyway I thought you might be interested in some of the many podcasts that I have tested out and am currently obsessed with. There are a few more that I listen to now and then but these are my first choices.

Elise gets crafty – This is the first podcast I ever listened to and it is the cause for all of the following obsessions. #thanksElise

Radio Lab – All the weird off topic and inexplicable things explained in this amazing podcast. If you have any interest in history or science you will get addicted to this one.

Make it Happen – This is a pretty new podcast. There are only a few episodes, but I can already tell it’s going to be a good one. I listened to episode number 2 multiple times and still feel like there’s so much more I can soak up from it.

Smart Passive Income – I don’t need to explain this one. It’s everywhere.

Creative Start – It’s just so inspiring. I love listening to creative people tell their stories.

The Lively Show – Jess get’s the in depth inside scoop on how successful ladies made it, and what it took to get them there. All those nitty-gritty details are just awesome.

Being Boss – I have followed Kathleen for a while so I jumped on board when she and Emily started this podcast, and I totally love it. I especially like the way they answer so many listener questions.
